What did Shakespeare look like?

Research took the Sculptress JOEL to that wonderful resource, the Shakespeare's Birthplace library, and to a study of the claims and suggestions of the appearance of William Shakespeare.

Another valuable inspiration is the memorial sculpture of Shakespeare commissioned by his wife and family after his death.

Using this and other research and description, the Sculptress JOEL is creating a sculpture of the Bard as a man just entering into his successes in London.
